I have been receiving recently, a lot of proposal about ERP system and some of them is bundled with software in a cloud or in other words Software as a Service (SaaS). Today, I would like to share my insight about this model of cloud computing (SaaS) based on the proposal I’ve gathered and how I think will benefits our company (Going Straight Salon, Inc.).
A few weeks ago, I have received a news release from our friend in Hitachi Data System. The news released encouraged RP business owners to unleashed the vast potential of their data center by considering virtualization and cloud strategies. Like what I have discuss before, cloud computing became top of the buzz nowadays, because of its benefits and savings. It provide cost-effective solutions for SME without the high cost of IT infrastructure investment. One of the options is online engineering degrees for those who are interested in becoming software engineers.
From my previous post, I was able to define and provide you a brief over view about Cloud Computing. In this post, I will try to discuss what I see as benefits of cloud computing and give you scenario where we can apply cloud to businesses. Like what I have said before clould technology can be IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) or SaaS (Software as a Service). An example of a IaaS would a be is a Cloud-based PABX System like 1 800 Number Ring Central Phone System . Where as, instead of investing on high cost business phone systems or PABX System … you outsource the service and used the facilities according to your need. Last month ago, I’ve announced that I’ll be reviewing a demo account from ArcusIT’s Cloud IaaS. I apologized for the delays, but I’ve been very busy with my full-time job as an IT Manager and now also as an Officer-In-Charge in Accounting Department covering the vacant Accounting Manager position.
