Mede8er Bloggers Meet
A few days ago bloggers were invited to experience the features of the Mede8er MED500x2, a media player that lets you connect your TV to the internet and experienced internet-entertainment on the fly. Web media buff can also explore online media streaming in YouTube and even listen to Internet Radio using their TV.
The brand Mede8er is a kind of new to me. It was developed by Sanji Electronics who makes digital media players based on the Realtek chip which is known for manufacturing sound and network modules for computer parts. According to the Mede8er presenter during the event, it is a South African company which has been in the industry for 2 years; in which it has now more than 40 distributors nationwide.
Mede8er MED500X2 is packed with plenty of ports – HDMI, component, composite video, optical and coaxial digital audio, USB and Gigabit Ethernet. For faster file transfer, you can take advantage of the USB 3.0 support. It has an SD card slot for quick viewing of photos or home videos taken with your camera. The Mede8er MED500X2 is already available at Php 9,000 SRP according to them.

I think Mede8er MED500x2 is a promising appliance in the living room. But it will be roughly competing with the emerging popularity of Smart TVs in entertainment arena. What do you think?
Hi I saw this link from Facebook. You said review but where’s the review? What does the UI look like? did you actually test the unit? like for downloading from torrents? how is the streaming performance over wireless? i don’t think this qualifies a review unless you’re not yet done with the post. Please let me know if there’s a review already.
