Soon, I might include accounting topic that can help you around with<strong> BIR (Taxation requirements)<\/strong> and accounting related solutions that I have encountered. Anyways let me share this topic&nbsp;on how to <strong>Remote Administer your QNAP &#8211; Network Attached Storage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meantime, I would like to share something about Network Attached Storage. I&#8217;m using a Linksys RV082 8 port VPN Router. But same procedure applies to kind or brand of router available.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Network Attached Storage:<\/strong>&nbsp;for this <strong>&#8220;How to&#8221;<\/strong> I will using <strong>QNAP TS 420<\/strong> Network Attached Storage with Firmware updated to Turbo NAS 4.1.4 (builde 20150522) with 1TB WDC WD10EFRX drive.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Configuring QNAP:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For this guide, I will be presuming you have successfully install the hard drive and the firmware as well<em> (if not yet I will be cooking another guide\/post for that one)<\/em>. Go to Control Panel\/System Settings\/General Settings\/System Administration\/<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>By default, the System port is at <strong>8080.<\/strong> For security reason I often change the default port to a different number. For this example, I choose <strong>32201.<\/strong> This is to discourage random pinging of the device. But you want it, you can still leave as it is.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. Go to Control Panel\/System Settings\/Network\/TCP-IP<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-031.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3739\" src=\"http:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-031.jpg\" alt=\"how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-03\" width=\"610\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-031.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-031-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you have a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol\">DHCP <\/a>server enabled, just take note of the local ip address in this dashboard. If not&#8230; you need to configure the <strong>QNAP NAS<\/strong> local ip address in the Qfinder or in this dashboard. But, if you&#8217;re using a different kind of a router&#8230; same procedure may applies:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Login to your Router Dashboard.<\/li>\n<li>Look for a module or a form that will let you configure <strong>port forwarding.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Define a port service and assign the port number and ip address you have noted from your&nbsp;QNAP configuration. In this case, we use port 32201 and ip address: 192.168.0.19.<\/li>\n<li>Then look for the system&nbsp;WAN IP address which usually given by your Internet Provider. In our case we&#8217;re&nbsp;subscribe with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/news-and-events\/pldt-mydsl-nuffnang-bring-you-the-avengers\/\">PLDT Small Business Lite<\/a> which bundled with (1)&nbsp;one public static ip address.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure to save everything and take note of your ip address.<\/li>\n<li>You can now remote administer your QNAP NAS using your browser and your public ip address.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Format: http:\/\/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxx:32201<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">where as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is your public ip address<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3740\" src=\"http:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-04.jpg\" alt=\"how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-04\" width=\"610\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-04.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.qlickcafe.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remote-administer-your-qnap-network-attached-server-configuring-your-qnap-04-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Summary<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Using this configuration you can also configure your <strong>QFILE&nbsp;for Android&nbsp;apps<\/strong> which you can access file or folder shared under your QNAP NAS device.
