Below is the excerpt of the email:<\/p>\n<h3>Microsoft Announces End of Support<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Staying up-to-date is imperative, and for that reason we would like to remind customers running Windows\u00ae XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows\u00ae 2000 Server and Windows\u00ae 2000 Professional that they will all reach their End of Support (EOS) milestone on July 13, 2010, and the original \u201cRTM\u201d version of Windows Vista\u00ae will reach EOS on April 13, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, customers who use these versions of Microsoft software will stop receiving regular Security Updates from those dates and may be exposed to security exploits. We encourage customers to understand the impact of this and take the necessary steps to avoid any issues when the support is terminated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I thinks this one of Microsoft&#8217;s marketing tactics to force their user to upgrade to Windows 7 :(.
