Use Crowdfunding To Enhance Your Career

When it’s time to take flight, having wings isn’t going to be enough to get your airplane up in the air and off the ground. The plane needs to have the right amount of fuel to get a powerful enough boost to soar high through the sky.

But think about the price of airplane fuel.

Right now, regional costs are in the neighborhood of $4.52 to $6.79 per gallon.

(In the Philippines, that’s a minimum of Php 63.00++/Liter)

Driving a car doesn’t seem so expensive now, does it?

Let’s take this analogy a step further.

We’ll equate driving a car to working your typical 9-to-5 job. And we’ll also equate flying an airplane to working as a solo entrepreneur or owning a business startup.

The differences between flying a plane and owning a car come down to different abilities. Let’s explore them further now.

The Differences between Driving and Flying

After filling up your car, the furthest you’re going to go on a tank of gas is around 450 miles if the majority is highway miles.

Even if you manage to go further, remember, you can only go so fast due to the speed limits that we have in place. On average, you’re legally allowed to go between 55 and 70 miles an hour in the wide majority of states in the US. And in some places you can drive as fast as 80 mph.

When flying an airplane, you can go several thousand miles without requiring any additional fuel. Obviously, the weight of the existing cargo and tailwinds will also play a factor in how far you can go. The airplane will require more fuel the heavier it is.

Unlike cars, it’s much easier to cross international boundaries when flying an airplane. You’re never going to run into military traffic stops. You’re never going to have to face border patrol. And motor vehicles have no way of crossing large bodies of water.

It’s much easier to fly over potential barriers while you’re soaring through the clouds!

When you work for a company a 40 hour work week and plan to use the proceeds of your employment to fuel your current lifestyle and future retirement, you’ll eventually get there if you spend wisely and save diligently, but it’s going to take some time.

This is similar to the dependable motor vehicle that you drive every day.

On the other hand, working as a business owner or solo entrepreneur will help you live a better life and achieve your retirement goals much, much faster.

The cost of operations is the biggest difference between the two.

As a business owner or entrepreneur, you can expand your company to new heights whenever you see fit. As an employee, you can only go so far while rising through the corporate ranks before there’s nowhere else to go.

Finding the Resources to Launch Your Startup or Solo Entrepreneur Business

It’s time to break free of the rat race. It’s time to take control of your life, provide a better existence for your family, and build your nest egg. Stop relying on other people and do what it takes to achieve your financial goals.

You may not realize this, but people want to support your business hopes and dreams. Your friends and family want to see you succeed. You’ll receive funding from people that will shock you. But that’s just the nature of the crowdfunding beast.

Using crowdfunding to source your life-changing business project will make it possible to make your dream a reality, according to one of many resources found here: https://www.melbournemediaconsulting.com.au/.

  1. Question: Ashley, can you briefly explain crowdfunding and how does it works? Kindly enlighten us for those new to the term “crowdfunding” … Is it the same with crowd sourcing? 🙂 BTW, Thank you for guest posting and sharing this to my audience.

  2. Hey Jhong, thanks for your inquiry.
Crowdfunding is just a form of crowdsourcing. It’s basically raising small amounts for a certain project from a large number of people. There are several ways a project can be crowdfunded, see the Forbes’ source for instance: https://www.forbes.com/sites/chancebarnett/2014/07/03/7-crowdfunding-tips-proven-to-raise-funding/#725b88632a9d
But there are many apps, platforms, and means to do so, therefore it’s very subjective to the project, ie niche, location, audience etc.
Hope that clears it up 🙂
    Thanks,
    Ashley
