I have encountered this problem and I wanted to share this solution to all Teamviewer Users. Below is how to deal with Teamviewer Blank Screen Problem:

The Problem

I have this remote computer that’s running  24/7 under Windows XP. It’s a surveillance PC where I check the shop with a web camera installed and TeamViewer installed. The problem is when ever I connect to this remote PC I always encounter a blank screen.

My Findings

So to do away with the problem, I reboot the remote computer by click the Action>Remote Reboot>Reboot in the toolbar. After I restarted the remote computer I was be able to access the it.

reboot teamviewer

But that’s not the real solution. I have encountered the problem again and just reboot the remote computer. I tried re-installing the TeamViewer using the latest version but still the problem reoccurs.

So I re-analyzed the problem and just noticed that it was the screen saver that’s causing the problem. When I removed the screen saver the problem was gone.

  1. I use Teamviewer v 12.0.78313 with Windows XP (sp3). Upon remoting with most XP computers I can black screen without any problem, however there is just one laptop with XP that does not go black. I have disabled its screen saver and all appears normal but it just doesn’t work.
    Can you please help?

  2. Yeah, Teamviewer is good. Additionally, you may also try a R-HUB remote suppoort server for all your remote support needs. It is easy to use and works well.
