Battle of the Prepaid Wireless Broadband Provider

Which is Better Globe, Sun, or Smart?

For the past few weeks, I’ve been busy with my offline job as an IT Manager. I’ve been searching for solutions that will improved my company’s remote branches connection to our corporate web portal. That’s why I’ve gathered these top (3) prepaid wireless broadband provider; and I chose prepaid to replaced our very tight dial up internet connection budget. Any ways … based on my research I’ve tabulate them according how they charged their customer.

comparison-table

Based on the table above, Sun Broadbands has the advantage in Rate per Hour. But you have to consume the 100 pesos load within 48 hours only.

While the Smart Broadbands give us a higher rate than Sun, but it offers better load validity, in which you can consume the 100 pesos for atleast 10 days.

Lastly, on my own opinion Globe gives me better control on usage, in which I’m charged in 15 minutes block, better than the other providers.
It also has better load validity which you can consume the 100 pesos load for atleast 15 days.

Although Sun Broad offers better rate than Globe, it gives me better flexibility and control in internet usage. I can assigned P300 load for each remote branches and consume only 10 pesos per day. In which I can’t do it with the other provider.

I choose Globe Broadband gives better signal than sun in terms of mobile communications. That’s why I bought one for me.

  1. jhong,

I haven’t been here in a while. No drops of ECs too. Been busy with other stuff, this influential blogger thing just keeps gnawing at my bones. hehehe

You know I thought that getting a sun wireless broadbadn is cheaper, but with the breakdown you presented, it is true that you’d get more use of the globe tattoo.

A side question, how about the post paid rates of each? Another post perhaps? hehehe

  3. Thanks for commenting jello.

In our area, the globe prepaid is pretty stable.I normally have HSDPA Connection every time I use this connection.

But, DSL connection is still faster than this type of medium. With this usb type of broadband internet, it will depends on the providers cellsite connection.

    The big advantage is portability.

    Thanks again,
