The Problem

I have this remote computer that’s running in 24/7 under Windows XP. It’s a surveillance PC where I check the shop with a web camera installed and TeamViewer installed. The problem is when ever I connect to this remote PC I always encounter a blank screen.

My Findings

So to do away with the problem, I reboot the remote computer by click the Action>Remote Reboot>Reboot in the toolbar. After I restarted the remote computer I was be able to access the it.

But that’s not the real solution. I have encountered the problem again and just reboot the remote computer. I tried re-installing the TeamViewer using the latest version but still the problem reoccurs.

So I re-analyzed the problem and just noticed that it was the screen saver that’s causing the problem. When I removed the screen saver the problem was gone.

Wrap-up

1.) Download the latest version of Teamviewer.
2.) Disable the screen saver under control panel display properties.
