    I am an SEO for a while now and i also want my clients to know how SEO work as some of them ask for result even though i only work for only a week. They demand to have a change for only a week and SEO doesn’t really work that way. We’ll maybe if they asked for sales for their products 0and not only rankings then i might give them a few for only a week or 2 but that still depend on the products and goal of each clients.

      I definitely agree with you, A website without SEO is a calling card with no address and phone number. Some keywords are sometimes hard to optimized specially with sites with high PR, but with proper link building and keyword optimization you will be able to reach that goal.
