No Support for Windows XP, Windows 2000 & RTM Windows Vista

As I’ve read my email regarding the “Microsoft Security Intelligence Report Series” I found out that Microsoft announces its end of support (EOS) on the following software:

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) – July 2010
Windows® 2000 Server – July 2010
Windows® 2000 Professional – July 2010
“RTM” version of Windows Vista® – April 2010

Meaning, Microsoft will not be issuing security updates for this version of operating system. Below is the excerpt of the email:

Microsoft Announces End of Support

“Staying up-to-date is imperative, and for that reason we would like to remind customers running Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows® 2000 Server and Windows® 2000 Professional that they will all reach their End of Support (EOS) milestone on July 13, 2010, and the original “RTM” version of Windows Vista® will reach EOS on April 13, 2010.

As a result, customers who use these versions of Microsoft software will stop receiving regular Security Updates from those dates and may be exposed to security exploits. We encourage customers to understand the impact of this and take the necessary steps to avoid any issues when the support is terminated.”

I thinks this one of Microsoft’s marketing tactics to force their user to upgrade to Windows 7 . So guys, what do you think, are you gonna upgrade to windows 7 now?

About the Design

It’s my first time to design a website for flowershop in my web designing career that’s why the project was a challenge for me and a blessing as well.

The design was based on their logo they’ve presented. It is logo where an angel delivering is flowers. So compliment the angel, I made a sky background for the site. I didn’t have problem thinking of a background that will match the theme, but it took me a while designing the header. Because I was thinking of something … when I entered the site it will tell the client it’s a flowershop rightway that’s why I crop a big yellow sunflower to compliment the yellow color of the logo for the theme and matches it’s branding.
